Editorial Process
A manuscript undergoes review for potential publication under the premise that it is being submitted exclusively to Jornal of Nano Materials Impact (NanomatImp) at that particular moment, has not been published, simultaneously submitted, or already accepted for publication elsewhere. The journal anticipates that the authors would designate one among them to liaise with the Journal regarding all matters pertinent to the manuscript. All received manuscripts are promptly acknowledged.
Upon submission, the editors initially assess all submitted manuscripts for their suitability for formal review. Manuscripts lacking originality, possessing serious scientific or technical flaws, or devoid of a significant message are dismissed prior to proceeding for formal peer review. Manuscripts that are unlikely to captivate the interest of the NanomatImp readership are also subject to rejection at this preliminary stage.
Manuscripts received from Editorial Board members undergo screening by the Editor in Chief and are subsequently dispatched to external peer reviewers. Editorial board members who are authors are excluded from publication decisions.
Manuscripts deemed suitable for publication in NanomatImp are dispatched to two or more expert reviewers. During submission, the contributor is encouraged, but not obligated, to provide names of two or three qualified reviewers with experience in the submitted manuscript's subject. These reviewers should not be affiliated with the same institutions as the contributor/s. However, the final selection of these reviewers rests solely with the editor. The journal adheres to a double-blind review process, wherein the reviewers and authors remain anonymous to each other. Each manuscript is also assigned to a member of the editorial team, who, based on the comments from the reviewers, makes a final decision on the manuscript. The comments and suggestions (acceptance/ rejection/ revisions in manuscript) received from reviewers are relayed to the corresponding author. If necessary, the author is requested to provide a point-by-point response to reviewers' comments and submit a revised version of the manuscript. This process is reiterated until reviewers and editors are satisfied with the manuscript.
Manuscripts accepted for publication undergo copy editing for grammar, punctuation, print style, and format. Page proofs are dispatched to the corresponding author, who is expected to return the corrected proofs within three days. It may not be feasible to incorporate corrections received after this period. The entire process, from manuscript submission to final decision, and sending and receiving proofs, is completed online. To expedite and broaden the dissemination of knowledge and information, the journal publishes articles online as “Early View” immediately upon acceptance.
